2 Highs and a Very Very Big Low

I always liked those intro games where you said one high of your day and a low. Well, I am going to do 2 highs and a low since my low is really low and needs some extra positive opposition!

High - For the last 2+ weeks Sam's lower teeth on the bottom (the pointy ones) have been coming in! The little peanut almost has all his teeth in the front (except for the top pointy ones that are polking through as we speak).
(
High - His vocabulary is just going through the roof! He now repeats (scary) what you say and his vocab is expanding daily. He still loves to say - "ball, puck, car(with the cutest influction), truck (with the cute goal, shot, papa, mama, dada, gigi
(chi-chi), Colin (call - with a very long "a" sound)" basically, the usuals, but has added "nana (for Grandma Connie), sausage (more like "za-sa"), Joe Joe, Max, Will-Will, Tim ("T"). So so so much fun!

Low - Last Friday - May 6th, Sam and Pat visited me at a event I was working at to say 'hi". Sam was running a fever since that morning and still seemed pretty warm. When Pat left he was on his way to get Sam some medicine to break the fever. I received a call about 45 seconds later by a frantic Pat who had just witnessed Sam have a seizure and was not seemingly unresponsive. I can confidently say that it was the worst moment of our lives so far! Sam seemed to be breathing when Pat rushed him to the hospital /ER to get checked out and I was very close behind. It turns out that Sam had a Febrile Seizure due to a fever caused by an ear infection we didn't know he had. We were at the hospital for a couple hours to ensure that he was okay and he seemed to be better when we were able to go home. Needless to say, Sam slept with us for while after and we are now very serious about fevers!

Below is a photo the next morning....thank goodness kids are SO resilient!
But, we hope to never be scared like that by our sweet little peanut! Never, never, never!
