Our fabulous family vacation in Vail
We had an amazing time in Vail with the family. We arrived late Friday night after we spend about an hour searching for Sam's lost carseat. Thank goodness we got a loaner so we can cruise from DEnver to Vail. We had an awesome time with the whole family - Gramps, Granny, Mom, Michael, Colin, Ryan, Pat, Sam, Annie, Paigie, JoeJoe, Max, Rick, Trent, Weston, Walker and myself. We had visits from Cris and Joe, Debbie and Johnny and some of Ryan's and Trent's friends. It was a fun, but very full house!
Sam loved this bear (Rarrr!!!) Every time we walked by Sam let out a huge ROAR!
It was a beautiful walk to Vail Village and Lionshead. Just beautiful!
The happy fam touring Vail Village after a fabulous lunch.
Dinner for 18 at the restaurant near by to celebrate Gramps' 80th birthday! Bloody Marys and nachos were amazing.
We all took turns to watch Sammy climb up and down the perfectly small stairs. He was SO proud of himself. This was this the first time he could walk up and down stairs by himself. Very big step (no pun intended).
Daddy and Sammy in front of the beloved bear.
We took a gondola ride up to the top of the mountain. Amazing view! Sam loved it!

Here is Dad and Sam watching the "snow trucks" (aka - grooming machines) on the mountain to pass time while we waiting in a stalled gondola.
We had great expectations to have a fabulous swim in the warm pool. However, Sammy and I quickly learned that the pool was much, much cooler than days past so our swim lasted about 5 minutes. But enough time to get in a fabulous pic with the mountain backdrop.
We all had a fancy drink at Frost in the Sebastian Hotel (where the Obamas stayed that weekend). Amazing spicy Bloodys again and amazing peppermint hot chocolates! Very fun!
