M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A
In the past several weeks Sam has discovered his favorite lullabies. The Minnesota Gopher fight song, the Twins song ("We're Gonna Win Twins), Vikings song and the Wild song ("In the State of Hockey"). Seriously. He dings them all day, asks us to sing them absorb at night we song them while he is trying to fall asleep.
He is still obsessed with his hockey guys and well, anything hockey! It is crazy that he is still so into it, but it is cute!
He rocks at counting and can count to 20 (with some help here and there with some numbers) and is rocking at his ABC's.
One more funny thing he will do is say "okay" after some comments. "No more carrots, okay?". Or "Let's read books, okay?". I love it!
He is just such a smart and funny little boy. We are so blessed!!!

Llama Llama
Sam went to his first play tonight at Stages Theater! Llama Llama Red Pajamas was a hit. Gigi got Sammy the books a month ago for preparation for the big show.
It was a fabulous Friday night! Man, how things have changed!

It's Potty time - take 2
So....just in the last week Sam has really started to get into the potty learning thing. I don't push him (I learned my lesson), but he has started asking to go or when we ask he says "yeah." OMG. This is major! He gets a "potty treat" (aka - Lifesaver) for each successful trip. He is still in a diaper, but I feel we are heading in the right direction and I am so proud of him! We even go in public places. What a stud?!
Other things....
He is still severely obsessed with hockey. He loves his "hockey guys" and brings them everywhere - tubbers, naps, lunch time, any errand. They are his little buddies! They will even help me get him in the tub if he is unwilling to go. I just tell him that Kovou or Heatley need to take a bath and then he is all game with the "guys" in hand. And recently he has become obsessed with the Chicago Blackhawks. He was really upset that we couldn't find the goalie for naptime. I told him I wasn't sure if we ever had one and he said "Yes, Mama. In the other room." I check in the living room and downstairs with no luck. When I told him this he responded "No, Mama. Baby Lauren's room." And there he was. Cute on 2 levels - 1. That he called the nursery Baby Lauren's room and 2. That he seriously knew where this one guy was when they are all over the house!
Some mornings when I get him he will say "Good morning, Mama. I missed you." Melts my heart every time. He is so sweet!
He still is singing Christmas songs all the time - Jingle Bells is his favorite. But he has slowly added the ABC's and Happy Birthday into the mix. He is great with the words and is really a great little singer! Look out Memphis!
As for me, I am getting bigger and feeling this little peanut kick all the time! I love it! She is very active and has this one spot on my lower right tummy that she really likes to push on and, man, it hurts! I have about 12 weeks left - eek!
xoxo
