Early Santa visit in Luverne

We went to Luverne to see an amazing program honoring Margaret at the Palace theater, celebrate Vegge Christmas and to hang with the family. Santa came early to check in and see if the kids were being "nice" this year. Santa was pretty happy with all of us - phew ;).

Independant woman...

Lauren can now sit up and hold her bottle on her own!  Man, this sweet girl is growing up so quick!!!!!

Sam is potty trained!!!!

AWESOME!  Finally, our sweet boy has decided to hang up the Pampers and work his big boy pants!  I swear the whole "they will do it when they are ready" thing is SO true!  He just got up one day and said "I am going to go pee in the potty now, okay?!".  Um...yep, okay buddy!

So with his Spiderman undies he was off....and has done perfectly since!

Lauren had a casting call for a Target print ad today. Her first one;).

Lauren's first go at rice cereal

We cannot believe she is old enough, but Lauren is now trying rice cereal! Unlike Sam, she didn't cry hysterically upon it entering her mouth she just simply made a "what the h@ll is this" face and "chewed" very slowly. After the first night of trying it she slept through the night for the first time in a couple days! Yippee!!! The chick was just hungry ;)

LoLo's Jumpy and Sammy's first Race!

 Lauren had her first experience in the Johnny Jumpy today!  Her brother LOVED this so much and used it for months and months!  I wonder if she will like it as much as sammy?

Sam went to the Elko Speedway tonight with Dad, Grandpa Dude and Dapa!  Pat said he had an awesome time and absolutely loved meeting Jeremy, the "driver".  He saw them go "sooooo fast", a "crash" and lots and lots of cars.  It was an awesome birthday gift from Grandpa Dude - may have to be an annual boys night out!

Sam and Ben

Sam had a playdate with his buddy Ben today - they are SO cute together!  It is just so fun to see Sam develop these great relationships and realize his strong friendships.  Love, love, love it.

Lauren's Rite of Reception

We had Lauren's Rite of Reception to get ready for her baptism on October 7th.  Both she and Sam were amazing.....very well behaved and lasted though the whole mass.  Total studs.

Lauren's First Swim

Lauren is 4 months old!!!

Man, how time flies! Lauren is already 4 months old! She's still an amazing little girl - she sleeps great (still up with us), she's a great eater, she lives "talk", giggle and give big huge smiles!

We have already packed up her clothes up to six months and she is in 6 month clothes already (unlike Sam who took a bit longer to graduate to the next size).

Sam still is amazing with her and often talks with her in his own "baby Lauren" language and it's so dang awesome!

Lauren is a rock star

Baby Lauren is such an amazing baby. She's happy, has been sleeping through the night practically since the day she was born (now sleeps from 10-7am) and is just a delight. She's happy and loves to smile :).
Her brother thinks she's "like a pretty princess" and looks like "Cinderella". And we agree.

We had a blast at Isla's 3rd Birthday party and Sam loved seeing all his ECFE classmates!

Luverne- Part 2 - July 20-22, 2012

Luverne July 11-15th

We went down to Luverne for Hot Dog Night/Member Guest golf tourney!  It was a blast as always.  Sam and Lauren had a fabulous time with Nana and Papa and with their cousins.  We also feel so blessed that we got to spend time with Great Aunt Margaret since she passed away the Monday after we left!

Margaret having a blast with all the customers during her last hot dog night!   It was fun to see  all the people that came from all over to tell her how much her and her store meant to them.  She was one happy camper!
