Our first and now a real fifth!

So, lots has been happening with the Connells in the last week. Sam had his first taste of ice cream this past week!

And Pat and I went on our FIRST vacation without the little man to Sun Valley, Idaho for Elia and James' wedding. It was incredible!!! Though it started off a little rocky leaving Sam with my mom, I quickly pulled it together and had a great time with my amazing friends and wonderful husband.

Sam had a great time without his mommy and daddy. Uncle Colin watched him most days and just "bro'd" out as he said. Colin is getting to be a fabulous babysitter, though says he has no intention of being a parent any time soon. So guess that worked.
Gigi took Sam to the lake and they went swimming and had an amazing time. Thank goodness for family......

When we got home, Sam had his FIFTH tooth that was in on the top left! I know I blogged about him getting it before, but it was barely showing. Now this sucker is through!!! Geez, this kid is a tooth making machine! And he now climbs up the ENTIRE staircase! When we left he was a 3-4 step kinda guy.

We went on a walk late last night and Pat took this photo of Sam and I taking a little evening stroll on the beach.....how amazing are camera phones these days?!!??!?!

A Fifth..... with a shot of decaf

Yeah, you heard me. Over the past couple days Sam has been getting his 5th (and maybe even 6th) tooth...he has not been feeling awesome. Last night he was bummed and just not his normal self...poor little guy. He had a sore bottom and a sore mouth. So we gave him mass potatoes and cuddled for a while!

Then today Grandpa Dude gave him a slurp of decaf coffee during our coffee tasting at Bull Run Coffee Co today! That dang Grandpa Dude!

That little babe is still cruising!!!!

Luverne's Buffalo Days...

We had the best time in Luverne! On Friday when we got there, we went down to Main Street for the old car display. There were awesome old cars there. Tim loved telling us all about them! We ate in the beer garden and listened to an awesome band that played great oldies music.
Here is Sam and I as we listened to the great music!

Papa Tim loved showing Sam off to everyone!
Here are the fabulous Berglunds (Susie, Max, Mark and Louie) as we listened to music and ate
The next morning we went to the parade where we saw fire trucks, clowns, trains and lots of other great cars! Sam loved it!
Aww...family photo in front of the marching band!
I love this photo of Sammy and dad during the parade.
After the parade, Grandma Connie, Susie, Max, Lou, Sam and I went to the Arts in the Park and saw lots of fun vendors. We all went to the concert and danced to the great music too!

Later that evening, we all went on a buffalo ride to check out the buffalo that Luverne is known for.

Everyone got to feed the big guys treats and they licked them right out of their hands! Max had no fear, I on the other hand, watched the festivities from afar :)

Another great photo of Sam and Daddy on the buffalo ride!
