Sam's First Cabin Weekend!!!

We had dinner at Chet's Chicken Shack Friday night. Mmmm....

Dad caught a bass that was just about as long as Sammy! Dad was VERY excited!

Visit from Auntie Cristin

Sam got a visit from his Auntie Cristin today. We had a nice time. Cris played songs on the guitar and was a bona fide baby whisperer.
Today Sam is just over 4 weeks old - I cannot believe how fast time flies!

Sam - update

Hey!
I have not been great about updating about Sammy! I will really make an effort to get better.
Here is a quick update of the important milestones--
His umbilical cord fell off during his first bath on July 30th! I will upload a photo later of this first bath - it is on our other camera!

He had his 2 week appt last Tuesday, August 4th. He was 21" long (1" longer than his 20" at birth), 8lbs5oz(birth weight was 6lbs13oz!) and his head was 15" (at birth it was 14/5" - ouch!).
So baby boy is eating well and growing! We were very happy!

He went to his first wedding on August 8th! There was a tornado warning and we had to go into the kitchen for a bit so that was pretty scary! But everything was okay! He did look fabulous in his green outfit that matched the colors of the wedding party!

We just got back from his first Twins game. He loves sports just like his daddy and mommy. Pat was very excited when the doctor said that he had great muscle tone and has commented about it now for weeks. He is jazzed about this kid being an athlete like his mommy :)

I will be much better about updating more often so I don’t have to go back so far going forward! It is such a blessing to have our baby home and to start out life with him. Life is good. Life is VERY good!
