Another Visit from Sam's Amazing Auntie Cristin

We loved having Auntie Cristin come and visit us again while she was home in Minnesota! She is a crazy Aunt, but very fun and attentive.
We hope she gets into the U of M so she will move here forever. Sam really needs a good teacher to make sure he learns Spanish!

First Time Meeting Santa....baby!

Sam met Santa for the first time today! He was a very good boy and I am sure that he will get lots of good presents!
Seriously, how cute could he be!

First Time Eating Solid Food!

Here is the first time Sam ate rice cereal. December 2nd, 2009. He was not a huge fan, but we were proud of him for trying something new!
Today was the first day Sam ate sweet potatoes with Pat and I (Gigi fed him sweet potatoes on Sunday for the first time and he was an instant fan!). He LOVES sweet potatoes....he could eat an entire huge potato all by himself! This is way too fun! Oh, and he is now sleeping through the night ever since he was been feeding him sweet potatoes...double YEAH!

Liberty Lake 2009 - December 7th - 11th

Our trip to Spokane started with a fabulous plane ride where Sam was a total rock star! We had our own rows on the way there....loving it!

Sammy had a lovely blowout right off the plane. Thankfully we had a tub near by at the McKelvey castle!
The silliest face ever! Loving the red leather couch we spent lots of fun times on with Ky and fam!

Anna was the chef extraordinaire! We had the most amazing food - it was like eating at a 5 star restaurant every night. She even took her little ginger friend with her in the kitchen to teach him a thing or two!
We cried....
Then we got silly and laughed....

Kyla looked beautiful on her left side....and she could make food too! What a lady!!!


The beautiful hostesses! They made our trip incredible and very memorable!

It was a wonderful trip filled with lots of great talks, laughs, ultrasounds where we got to see baby Dayton, fabulous good and great friends. But now we are tired.....

Sam's First Airplane Ride

Yesterday Sam and I went on his first airplane ride from Minneapolis to Spokane. Sam was perfect and we had the best time! He slept on both plane rides like an angel and received many compliments from surrounding passengers! I think they were very thankful they didn't have to endure 3+ hours of a crying baby! On the last leg from Seattle to Spokane I was so lucky that Sam slept the whole time, I had my own row AND they serve wine for free! Free! So I had a sleeping baby in one arm, a free glass of wine in the other and a beautiful view outside the window for the entire trip. Life is good!

4 Month Appt and Rice Cereal

Sam has his 4 month appointment yesterday. It was great! He now weights 14lbs and 12 oz and is 25 inches long. He is exactly 50% in height and 50% in weight. But his head is a whopping 17 1/8 inches and in the 95th percentile!!! Though he had a cold that day, he is otherwise perfectly healthy! We got the go ahead to start giving him "solid" foods. So on the way home I made Pat stop at Target to get some rice cereal and called my mom to have her start making some veggies and fruits! I cannot believe how much he is growing and becoming a big boy!!!

Luverne Trip - Awesome as Always!

We had a wonderful trip down to Luverne the weekend after Thanksgiving. Sam and I had terrible colds (partly to blame for our Black Friday early rising) but we powered through it.

We had a nice time visiting with Great Grandma Barb - we had pizza dinner one night for dinner together and homemade rolls for breakfast the next morning. Mmmm! We were so glad she is doing so awesome!!!
Sam loves his Grandma Connie and Papa Tim. He loves to smile for them and giggle for them.

Sam also got a new toy where he can stand all on his own....for a couple seconds! He is growing SO fast!!!

Sam's First Thanksgiving

Here we are at Grandpa Dude and Grandma Lefty's house for Sam's first Thanksgiving! SO fun!

Visit from Auntie Court and Uncle Ira...November 20th - 23rd

Oh, man was it fun to see Auntie Court and Uncle Ira! It was the first time that Sam met them and I think it was love at first sight on both sides. :)
We had a nice time at dinner at Pat's cousins restaurant she manages called Ill Gato. Great food and even better company!
Then Court, Sam and I went to Maddy's 4th birthday party the next morning at the zoo! We loved the monkeys and the sharks. I cannot believe it has been 4 years since Miss Maddy was born. Life just flies by!
We all met Pat and Ira at The Nook for a kick ass burger. Seriously, doesn't get better than that. After a little shopping for the ladies and a couple of hours of video games for the boys we all headed out to out favorite Zelo restaurant. Mmmmmmm as always! We met our some friends at Chambers for some drinks.
The next day Court, Sam and I shopped in the afternoon after lunch and just laid low. On the other hand, the boys went to the Vikings game and consume their first beer at 10 am. Needless to say when they returned at 1 am they were less than sober. I do have video proof of their homecoming....pretty funny!
The next day we had lunch at Edina Grill (again) and said our goodbyes to Court and Ira...BOO! It was amazingly fun!!
Also, Court and Ira got us a computer video camera so we can Skype - SO fun! Sammy thinks it so fun to see his aunties over the internet!

I love the Vikings and my Johnny Jump Up

So, Sammy is really starting to get the hang of his Johnny Jump Up. He started in it just in the middle of November and wasn't so sure about it. Then within days he really started to rock it. Now he is a total Jump Up star!
Also, since the Vikings rock this year Sam and Pat have had a really nice time watching the games. I have to say, Sam looks pretty darn good in purple!

Sam's First Gopher Game

Sam, Papa Tim and Pat went to the Gopher football game today and they had a blast! Pat loves taking him to sports and I do think that Sam likes them too! But I guess the game was pretty boring since Sam slept most the time!:)

Papa Tim also decked Pat and Sam out in Gopher gear....way too cute!!!
And, seriously, can this kid get any cuter!!!!

2nd Anniversary - oh, how the time flies!

Pat and I celebrated our second anniversary tonight at our "place", Zelo- very fun! Now, there was very little Sammy interaction since he was at Gigis, so I wouldn't normally blog about it. BUT I had to mention it because we got a fabulous surprise from our amazing friends at dinner. We received a bottle of wine compliments of Court and Ira!!! Seriously, I am reminded every day how lucky we are to have the best, most incredible friends on earth. I feel so lucky and blessed. I love it!!!

Auntie Nicole visit!!!

What a fun week! Auntie Nicole came to visit and we had a fabulous time. She was there for Sam's baptism (photos to come) and that meant SO much to me. As always she was the best help and was a fabulous photographer and videographer! We went shopping, ate, drank wine, went shopping, ate and then drank wine. It was awesome! Oh, then Nicole made us a fab dinner and awesome breakfasts!!!! Loved every minute!!
Louis was also very happy Nicole came because he got some REALLY good attention from her! Lucky dog!

Sam is starting to get super strong. Today he rolled out of his car seat when I just set him in it. Now I have to be super careful about setting him down! I cannot believe he is 14 weeks already! I love my little guy so much!!!

Hanging with Ryder and Infant Massage Playdate...

We had a fun day today. We went to Katie and Ernies and saw baby Ryder again. SO cute! And Kelsey was there with baby Wyatt and Emily was there with baby Cooper. So the 4 little buds had a lovely time together! Can't wait for the upcoming years. Can you stand how cute they are? Then Kels, Em and I had an infant massage playdate. Pretty awesome! Sam loved it, Wyatt slept and Cooper smiled and looked around the entire time.
